They are horrible; I still have to deal with them even after I closed my account because they keep applying a substantial late fee on a zero balance. Their website is not user-friendly, and neither is their customer service; they just repetitively recite policy. Do not engage with the Comenity dance; the 20% is not worth the headaches.

The bank is inaccurate and does not perform their job properly. I set up auto-payment from the first month and was charged automatically, but the second month it was cut off without reason, only to charge me an extra fee and lower my credit score. This is the worst bank ever. I don't recommend

Horrible bank; I just realized there are high fees. Do not bank with this scam institution. They will take all of your money and will not work with you. I do not owe a balance; I am only paying fees from a missed payment by one day. It was a horrible mistake to bank here.

Owed a small balance of $7 for an item that was never received. The Torrid credit card charged me a $30 late fee for not paying the amount that was disputed, even after I called them to inform them that I was paying my balance minus the $7. The lady transferred me to escalation, which said I should have paid the $7. I then asked to speak with her supervisor, and she hung up on me. I'm not sure how they do not comprehend that a customer should not pay for something they never received, especially if I was pending credit which was, unfortunately, received after the due date. They can clearly see Torrid issued the credit for the exact amount. I will report them to the FCC and BBB for bad, unethical practices. I spoke to three people prior to my due date, and no one offered to dispute the amount after I informed them of the scenario, only after the fact. Unprofessional!

Horrible customer service! Good luck if you ever need to file a dispute on a charge or purchase. I tried, and it went on for months, and they did absolutely nothing. I called to cancel my card and they just said okay and never asked for a reason. It was a Caesars Rewards credit card with a decent credit limit, but I don't even play at Caesars anymore because of this.

Abhorrent business practices, correspondence, charges, and "customer loyalty" practices. I am a teacher and don't have a lot of money. However, I tend to spend my money wisely. I have been a good, on-time paying customer for years with one of your stores, but they won't be getting much of my business because of this, and I will tell them that. In most cases, I have paid the full balance on store charges. I don't need your card.

I was sold "good deals," "coupons," and "customer perks" that turned out to be nothing but deceptions luring me to subscribe to questionable and insensitive credit services. I truly believe you have financially taken advantage of me, sending a disrespectful letter after I asked for help with fees and charges that far exceeded the initial cost of a few store items. I missed the due date by one day because I was in the hospital, an unusual occurrence for me, and I contacted you right away. Still, the bill was paid in full.

Despite being a day late, I made numerous phone calls trying to get some help with fees and charges, which you've unjustly taken and excessively increased. My messages on the website were ignored and eventually blocked, and you did not close my account. Comenity charged me another fee after I paid the late fee, all amounting to more than 95% of the initial purchase price back in July. Shame on you, Rebecca U., and other 'advocacy managers' associated with Comenity Bank. Shame on all of you for how you treat good, loyal customers who have made a mistake.

P.S. Good customer service does not include blocking a customer's messages after they attempt to find a financial resolution and ask for help multiple times. The letter I received today was really rude. Do not open an account with these unscrupulous individuals! No matter what deal they "offer you" or exaggerated story they provide. I'm warning others out there, please don't sign up with these people or this company for store perks—it's not worth the headaches!

By far the worst credit card ever. Rewards are terrible, platinum status at Caesars is a joke; you get better deals on Priceline. Literally, all I have gotten from them is a $5 off coupon for the Eiffel Tower. Spend $30k, get $300 in Caesars dining credit, or $150 cash back on gaming. So, your real rewards are 0.5 points for every dollar. And what is really important at Caesars are tier credits, but you cannot earn those anymore since Caesars got bought out. This thing is worthless; you're better off using a debit or prepaid card. Even their statements and website are terrible.

Horrible. It was very hard to find a way to pay other than automatic payments. I finally found a phone number, but no one answered. A few days later, I was able to speak with someone, but they were not well-trained and were unprofessional. This wrecked my credit score- because of their incompetence.

I was a loyal customer of Talbot's for over 30 years. I didn't pay much attention to the interest rate when Talbot's started using Comenity Bank for their store credit card because I always paid off the card in full soon after I purchased items. The rewards and perks of using their card are great - free shipping, discounts, etc. However, I noticed they were charging small "interest fees" the month after I paid off the card. This is Comenity's policy. Then I received an email this year (2024) that they were increasing their interest rate to 35.9% on unpaid balances. I vaguely recall usury laws going into effect many years ago that limited the amount of interest, but apparently, that only applies to loans and there is no limit to what a bank can charge on their credit cards. I think this high of a rate is absolutely unethical and canceled my card immediately. I cannot support a business that misleads its customers like this. I have three issues with Talbots and Comenity: 1) the "junk fee" added the month after your card is paid in full, 2) the exorbitant interest rate, and 3) the delay in posting credits when a purchase is returned. It can take weeks after an email confirming Talbot's received the item before the credit is posted to your card -- I suspect this is planned so they can charge you interest. I will no longer do business with Talbot's until and unless they choose an ethical company to handle their credit cards.

They offer great six-month interest-free loans on purchases on some websites. Sounds great, but too good to be true. You make six monthly interest-free payments. Sounds great? Nope, you're socked with accumulated interest at the end. Stay far away.

This card is not trustworthy! I opened my account at the end of June, and it is almost September, yet I still have not received my card. I have called twice, and they claim to have sent me cards. They are attempting to charge me late fees for a card I have never even received. I used it once for a $37 purchase, and now they claim I owe them over $90. The representative, Kristine, over the phone, offered to remove the late fee if I kept my account open, but the late fee is still there. I strongly advise against getting this card. It has caused me so much frustration.

Do not purchase furniture at Biglots. They claim it is 0% interest for 12 months, but they lie and charge interest. Then, when trying to correct the error, they give you the runaround. I will be reporting this to the Better Business Bureau and to corporate.

Terrible company to deal with - AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Key Whitman Eye Center involved me with this company for cataract surgery. The company did not state anywhere on their online payment site that it was promotional and charged me $2,500 in interest after being over by one week. I was unaware it had a two-year timeframe. When I noticed my balance had drastically increased, I called them only to find out that my promotion had ended. No mercy shown! I am a senior on a fixed income. I was so proud of having reduced the total from $8,500 to $1,800 - then I was hit with this outrageous interest charge. Had I known about it, I would have transferred the $1,800 balance to a different card. DO NOT LET ANY DOCTOR TALK YOU INTO USING THIS COMPANY AND BEWARE OF KEY WHITMAN EYE CENTER IN DALLAS, TX.

They are scammers. They remove your scheduled payment to receive the late fee. I've been paying a late fee every month even though I schedule my payment on time, but somehow it gets removed, and it doesn't show anymore.
